Mrs. Doris J. Williams-Burnett, 60, of 2963 Woodlawn Road, Roper, died Moonday, June 30, 2008 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Undenominational Revival Center in Roper with Derrick L. Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Revival Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams-Burnett was born Nov. 6, 1947, in Washington County, daughter of the late Charles Henry Williams Sr. and the late Odessa Norman-Williams. She married James Burnett Sr. who survives. Together, they founded and pastored the Undenominational Revival Center in Roper. She was a sales executive at Electrolux for 19 years and worked as a clerk for Weyerhaeuser for 14 years.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, James Burnett Jr. of Plymouth and Derrick L. Burnett of Durham; two daughters, Wanda Kay Burnett of Plymouth and Krystal Ann Burnett of the home; six sisters, Linda Cooper, Gloria Wilkins, Angelena Clagon, Eldorado Dillard and Nyla Boyd, all of Plymouth, and Evelyn McNeil of Rocky Mount and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Charles H. Williams Jr. and one sister, Shirley W. Parker.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at the Undenominational Revival Center, 8335 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper.
