Mrs. Elmo Gladson Edwards, 95, of Pactolus, died Friday, July 11, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Pitt County. She had lived in Pactolus since 1978. She was married to Stephen O. Edwards, who preceded her in death. She farmed for many years, later working at Empire Brush, Hamilton Beach and Black and Decker. She later worked as a sitter for elderly persons. She was a member of Parker’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy E. Baker and LaRue E. Jones, both of Greenville; one son, Ronnie Edwards of Washington; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Pete Edwards; one grandson, Jimmy Edwards and two granddaughters, Heather Williams Hall and Brenda Edwards.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville.
