Mrs. Inez Hines Stallings, 86, of 1001 Stokes Ave., Windsor, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Aycock family cemetery on Bizzel Church Road in Micro with the Rev. Steven Walker officiating.
Mrs. Stallings was born in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Clarence Becton and Effie Aycock Hines. She was married to John Walter Stallings Sr., who survives. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Republican Party. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Neenie S. Whitehead of Windsor; two sons, John W. Stallings Jr. of Denville, N.J., and Keith Stallings of Raleigh; three sisters, Merle H. Brown and Margaret H. Daughtry, both of Selma, and Bessie H. Howell of Kenly; three brothers, Carl Worth Hines and Tom Hines, both of Selma, and C.B. Hines of Clayton and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cashie Baptist Church, 221 S. Queen St., Windsor, NC 27983.
