Mrs. Carolyn Lewis Keel, 61, of 105 Lee St., Williamston, died Aug. 9, 2008, at the Vintage Inn Retirement Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Community Christian Church with the Rev. Dale Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Keel was born March 17, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Albert Earl Lewis and Marie Hardison Lewis. She was a retired waitress, having worked 20 years at Griffins Quick Lunch in Williamston. She was an active member of Community Christian Church as long as her health permitted and a past member of the ladies circle.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Lewis Jones. Survivors include: her husband, Woodrow Hilton Keel; two daughters, Tonya Keel Whitley and Candy Keel of Williamston; a son, Gregory W. Keel of Williamston; three brothers, Mickey Lewis of Ayden, Garland Ray Lewis of Virginia and Ronald Gene Lewis of Williamston; a sister, Sylvia Lewis Spruill of Williamston; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston from p.m. to 9 p.m. and other times at the home.
