Mr. Raleigh “Pop” Crandall Jr. of 580 Second St., Aurora, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Britthaven of Pamlico.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, with the Rev. Cleve Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Hosanna Cemetery.
Mr. Crandall was born May 31, 1937, the son of Raleigh and Georgia Ann Clarke Crandall. He attended Pitt County Training School in Grimesland. He was married to Florence Speights Crandall, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Crandall of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Darryle Knight of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Terry Crandall of Baltimore, Md.; four sisters, Edna Moore and Lottie Johnson of Baltimore, Md., Mona Lisa Holley of Grimesland and Vivian M. Harris of Aurora; and three brothers, Cecil Crandall of Newark, N.J., James Crandall of Baltimore, Md., and George M. Tuten of Aurora.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
