Mrs. Barbara Hardison Ross, 65, of 1040 Dixie Trail, Williamston, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ross was born in Greenville, Miss., on June 9, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Luther Hugh Hardison and Francis Nelson Hardison. On Nov. 8, 1963, she married Whit Ross, who survives. She was the chair of the business department at Martin Community College. She attended Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Mark Ross of Williamston; one daughter, Kathy R. Earley of Cary; two sisters, Elaine Roberson of Jamesville and Jeanne Phillips of Carrollton, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the fellowship fund of Memorial Baptist Church or a charity of one’s choice.
