Mr. Derrick Deyne Little, 32, of 42 Moore Ave., Blounts Creek, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in a tractor accident.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Saint Peter Baptist Ministries with Bishop Joseph Squires officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore family cemetery.
Mr. Little was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 2, 1975. He was the son of Fred Moore Jr. of Blounts Creek and Elaine Little Clark, who survive. He was a 1995 graduate of the former Aurora High School. He was employed in landscaping and auto mechanics. He was a member of Saint Peter Baptist Ministries in Aurora.
Survivors include one son, Kevontae Little of the home; one daughter, Jasmine L. Little of the home; paternal grandmother, Blanche Moore of Blounts Creek; maternal grandmother, Johnnie Ann Little of Aurora; six sisters, Diane Harvey of Georgia, Patricia B. Clemmons of Williamston; Rose Johnson, Willow Moore and Irene Smith, all of Washington, and Lynn Tillery of Raleigh; two brothers, Rex Hooker and Freddy Moore, both of Blounts Creek; two step-sisters, Patricia Carter and Carrie Carter, both of Washington; and one step-brother, Jeffery Carter of Washington.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Tex Hooker.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home of his mother, 602 Mallard Creek Apts., Aurora, and at the home.
