Mr. Sherman K.D. Little Sr. of 866 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday in Temple of Jesus Christ Church with Elder Willie Ore officiating. Burial will follow in the Langley family cemetery.
Mr. Little was born Jan. 5, 1938, the son of the late Samuel and Marie Langley Little. He attended P.S. Jones High School. He was first married to Shirley Mae Riddick on April 18, 1956, who survives. On Dec. 8, 2006, he married Mary E. Blount Little, who survives. He was a member of Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Little of Fayetteville, Eleanor Booker of Durham, Vanessa Baldwin of Salisbury, Md., and Debra Clemmons of Washington; one son, Sherman A. Little Jr. of Washington; two stepchildren, Calvin Summers of Washington and Gary Blount of Chocowinity; three sisters, Cora Haith of Philadelphia, Pa., Delores Graddy of Washington and Rosa Smith of Raleigh; two brothers, James A. Little of Wilson and William Little of Philadelphia, Pa., 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Allen Jerome Little; one brother, Buddy Little and two stepchildren, Jackie Blount and Alex Blount.
The family will receive friends today from 2-7 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington and other times at the home of his sister, Delores Graddy, 118 Math Grady Lane, Washington.
