Mr. Clayton Owen Wynne, 85, of 265 Cherry Lane, Bethel, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Robersonville Cemetery with the Rev. Delmus Ayers officiating.
Mr. Wynne was born in Pitt County on Feb. 5, 1923. He was the son of the late William Henry and Clara Jane Mills Wynne. He was married to Miriam Cherry Wynne, who survives. He was a retired farmer. He attended the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Jean W. Tetterton of Bethel; and one son, Timothy Owen Wynne of Stokes.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home-Ayers Chapel in Bethel and other times at the home.
