CHOCOWINITY — Assorted games, a giant inflatable slide and even a karaoke booth lent a festive atmosphere to the campus of Chocowinity Primary School Saturday afternoon.
The occasion was the third annual Fall Festival, sponsored by the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization.
Activities included fish and duck ponds, putt-putt, football and basketball toss, hair and face painting, treasure dig and bubble booth. Talented students showcased their skills at the guitar-playing and karaoke booths, and the cheerleaders from Chocowinity Middle School were among the volunteers pitching in to make the festival a success. Also on hand were representatives of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Chocowinity Volunteer Fire Department and Chocowinity Police Department.
While the Fall Festival is still in its early years, Conway said he hopes it will eventually become a celebrated event like the Pumpkin Festival hosted annually by Eastern Elementary School.
