Mr. Jimmie E. Cole, 66, of Hoover, Ala., died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in Plymouth Church of Christ in Plymouth with the Rev. Bob Moulden officiating.
Mr. Cole was the son of Frances Naylor and the late Leslie Cole. He served six years in the Army. He was married to Sue Cole, who survives. He had a 40-year membership certification with United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of Plumbers and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada. He was the owner and operator of a truck for 18 years, leased to Jones Motors in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include one son, Kirk Evans Cole and one brother, Leslie Cole Jr.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Cole.
The family will receive friends at Rideout’s Southern Heritage at noon Oct. 18, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stanley Owensby officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Jemison, Ala.
