Mr. William Ray Potter, age 78, of 407 E. Third St., Washington, died Friday, October 17, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008, at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Rev. Danny Allen and Rev. Susan Harrison.
Mr. Potter was born in Beaufort County on September 15, 1930, to the late Ray and Manilla Day Potter. Mr. Potter was a lifetime resident of Beaufort County. He was employed in the seafood industry from an early age until his retirement. He was known most for his work at Fish-N-Stuff on River Road.
Survivors include his sister, Rita Tetterton and her husband, Milford, of Washington and his beloved niece, Nancy Raye Tetterton of Raeford, NC.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm Monday, October 20, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Milford Tetterton, 203 Circle Drive, Washington, NC 27889.
