Mrs. Martha Jenkins Cox, 75, formerly of Vanceboro, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Randolph Funeral Home Chapel, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, with Bishop Juanita Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at the Jenkins family cemetery, Streetferry Road, Vanceboro.
Mrs. Cox was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Craven County. She was the daughter of the late Annie Ruth Jenkins Nobles and Gilbert Jenkins. She attended the public schools of Craven County. Mrs. Cox was a member of Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church, Vanceboro and served as Church Mother.
She was married to Carlton Bruce Cox who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Nathaniel Cox and one son-in-kind, Robert Jenkins.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, and other times at the home, 1566 Clay Bottom School Road, Chocowinity.
