PLYMOUTH — Mrs. Margaret Norman Horton, 78, of 105 Lonsdale St., Roper died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at home.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Horton family cemetery.
Mrs. Horton was born on Feb. 20, 1930, in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Joe Wheeler Norman and Lillie Saunders Norman. She was a member of Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a deaconess and president of the usher board. She was a member of Queen Esther Jewel no. 32 OES PHA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Ray Horton.
Survivors include one son, Jack Horton Sr. of Roper; three daughters, Verna Jackson of Bowie, Md., Saundra Davis of Plymouth, Tonya Horton of Roper; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Eprew Missionary Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
