Mrs. Brenda Loretta Stutts Young, 61, of 3516 Herbert St., Norfolk, Va., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Leigh Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Oakdale Cemetery with pastor Wade Smith officiating.
Mrs. Young was born in Charleston, S.C., on July 11, 1947. She was the daughter of Walter Leroy Stutts of Walterboro, S.C., and Sarah Elliott Stutts of Norfolk, Va. She graduated from Norview High School in Norfolk, Va. She was married to Nelson E. Young, who preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1992. She was a cashier with Bromley Food Lion. She was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Windy Young of Norfolk, Va.; one son, Danny Young of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Tillie Carley of South Norfolk, Va.; one brother, Dennis Stutts of Norfolk, Va. and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the cemetery following the graveside service.
