SPRING HOPE — Bessie W. Burbage, age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, NC on Thursday, March 5, 2009.
Bessie was born September 3, 1915 in Bath Township to the late William McCoy and Alpha Woolard Windley. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Scott Burbage; a daughter, Pauline B. Champagne; a grandson, Jeffrey S. Champagne; a brother, Soloman S. Windley and a sister, Lorena W. Alviar.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a granddaughter, Jennifer C. Brown of Spring Hope; a sister, Blanche W. Yates of Rocky Mount and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.
