Mrs. Margaret Ellis Robbins, age 72, a resident of Greenfield Place, Greenville, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Major Floyd Langley.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Newtown, North Wales on August 21, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Robert Ellis and Florance Louise Harrison Robbins. Mrs. Robbins graduated from High School in England. On May 21, 1957, she married Harold Nicholson Robbins, whom she met in England while he was in the Air Force. They moved to the United States in 1959. Mr. Robbins preceded her in death, February 13, 2002. Mrs. Robbins was a member of The Salvation Army in Greenville.
Mrs. Robbins is survived by a son Robbie Robbins and his wife, Sharon of Gaffney, S.C.; two daughters, Sandra Jones and her husband, Johnny of Greenville, Linda Robbins and her fiance’, Michael Kosto of Washington; six grandchildren, Harold N. Robbins II, Christen Elaine Mull, Brittany Robbins Owens, Bambi Renee’ Ross Cox, John Mullen and Dakota Mullen; and two great grandsons, Landon Michael Mull and Hunter Ethan Mull and one great granddaughter, Allison AvaHaiyes Cox.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by a son, John Nicholson Robbins II.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday March 9, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
