Alton “Al” Clemins Everson

Alton was born Dec. 4, 1933 in Washington, N.C., and married Marlene Anton his loving wife of nearly 50 years. He was a masonry contractor in the Puget Sound area for over 45 years and owned United Masonry. Al is survived by his wife Marlene, daughter Charlene and son Marc who he raised in Bothell; grandchildren William &Edward Feetham and Lauren &Michael Everson. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Thomas, Albert, James, Joyce and Faye Carol; preceded in death by sisters, Jackie &Alice and brother Don.
He died peacefully on March 5 while surrounded by his family. Al was a devoted husband and father. He had a passion for his work and work done well, he was a tenacious perfectionist. He loved creating with his hands. He had a love and appreciation for nature’s beauty.
Services March 10 at Marlatt Funeral Home, Kent. Military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent.
If preferred in lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Bricklayer’s Union Local 1 in memory of Al Everson.
