Miss Hannah Elizabeth Sexton, 18, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Plymouth, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, in Jacksonville, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Jimmy Hagwood and pastor Avis Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Miss Sexton was born in Beaufort County on July 2, 1990. She was a student at St. John’s River Community College and a customer-service representative with Publix grocery stores.
Survivors include her father, Benjamin Mark Sexton of Durham; her mother and stepfather, Mary Southard Walton and Ted Walton of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Jaime Griggs of Greenville; one brother, Joel Griggs of Oxford, Ohio; and her grandparents, Mary E. Southard of Richmond, Va., William R. and Joyce Sexton Sr. of Roper and Marguerite L. Hart of Roper.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Winfree Southard.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund or a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
