VANCEBORO — Mrs. Eula Mae Weatherington Lewis, 76, died Monday, March 23, 2009.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Vanceboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis, a native of Beaufort County, had lived in the Wilmar community of Craven County for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Lewis, and a grandson, Daniel Lloyd Lewis.
She is survived by her: husband of 62 years, Ernest Lewis; daughters, Retha Harris, of Pinetown, Jean Smith, of Vanceboro, Peggy Smith, of Simpson, and Patricia Key, of Chocowinity; sons, Danny Lewis, of Chocowinity, and Alton Lewis, of Vanceboro; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, M. D. Weatherington, of Washington.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro, and other times at the family home of Eula and Ernest Lewis.
