Arnold M. Gibbs, 81, of 37631 U. S. Highway 264, Belhaven, the Leechville Community, died Tuesday evening, June 23, 2009, at Autumnfield of Belhaven.
Born in Beaufort County, July 2, 1927, he was the son of the late Walter L. and Lula Tooley Gibbs. He was married to Dora Tarkenton Gibbs who preceded him in death.
Mr. Gibbs was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during World War II and spent his working years as a machinist working in a machine shop. He maintained a motor repair shop at his home.
There are no services planned at his request and a private burial will be held in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery, the Ponzer Community.
