Jesse Leon Lewis, 58, of Lake Gaston died Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
He was born in Wayne County April 24, 1951. Mr. Lewis retired from Monsanto. He graduated in 1973 from North Carolina State University and served in the Air Force from 1973 to 1977. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, Pikeville.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Rebecca, two daughters, Katie Johansson and husband, Eric and Jessica Eddins and husband, Kevin all of Raleigh; a granddaughter, AnnMarie Johansson; his mother, Leatha T. Lewis of Stantonsburg and sister, Donna Mayo and husband, Tommy of Walstonburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Lewis.
