YORK, S.C. — James Benjamin “Ben” Brooks, 57, of 1929 Loggen Rd., died Wednesday July 29, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Bratton Funeral Home, Rev. Ricky Speagle will be officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park–Hollis Lakes in Rock Hill, S.C.
Ben was a son of the late George Lee Brooks and Esther Faye Truelove Brooks. 
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Nicole Brooks of Valdese, NC, brother Michael Eugene Brooks of Ocala, FL, sister Vicky Brooks Brylie of Simpson, NC, and sister Virginia Brooks Keech of Pinetown, NC. He was preceded in death by his brother George Lee Brooks Jr.
Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 1–2 p.m.
Bratton Funeral Home in York, S.C., is serving the Brooks family.
