Mrs. Elizabeth Lee Hutchens Bowles of Greenville, North Carolina died unexpectedly on August 28, 2009 at her home.
Elizabeth was born on April 9, 1971 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Judith Lee Wright and Henkel Hayes Hutchens, who survive. On December 16, 2000, she married Theodore Franklin Bowles, who survives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Harriet Lee Bowles of the home, a brother, Hayes Henkel Hutchens and his wife Pam, and their daughter Hannah Dorothy Hutchens of Greenville and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore Franklin Bowles Sr. and his wife Elizabeth of Ashford, West Virginia.
Elizabeth leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles and other cousins. She will be remembered for her caring and loving spirit that touched many people. Her love of children was well-known.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 31,2009 at the home of Bill and Jane McCotter, located at 121 Hilltop Lane, Washington, NC officiated by Dr. Greg Barmer.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nelson and all of the teachers and staff at Pactolus Elementary School for their care and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Pactolus Elementary School Library, 3405 Yankee Hall Road, Greenville, North Carolina 27834, in honor of Harriet and in memory of Elizabeth.
