For Jim Mitchell, the Beaufort County Business Expo provided him an opportunity to expose his business, Mitchell Electric, to the public.
I wanted to make my business more known throughout the county and area, Mitchell said when asked why he decided to participate in the exposition held Thursday at the Washington Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This is the first time to the Expo, Mitchell said of his company.
Mitchell moved from Florida to the Washington area about a year ago.
Participating in the event allowed him to inform the public that his business provides residential, commercial and industrial electric services, Mitchell said.
Curtis Ormond, representing Potash Corp. of Aurora, was busy informing people who visited his booth that PCS Phosphate recently changed its name to Potash Corp. of Aurora.
Were going through some changes, Ormond said.
The event, organized by the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce and Beaufort County Community Colleges Business and Industry Services division, attracted a little more than 45 exhibitors, according to Catherine Glover, the chambers executive director.
Its growing every year, Glover said.
Asked why the event appeals to exhibitors, Glover responded, Its exposure of products and services.
