Mrs. Margaret R. Tetterton

Mrs. Margaret Roelofs Tetterton, age 73, a resident of 15391 US Hwy. 264 E., Pinetown, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Hunter’s Bridge Church of Christ and will be conducted by Bud Ball. Burial will follow at the Tetterton Family Cemetery. Toby Tetterton, Carl Tetterton, Jr., William Ack Woolard, Jr., James Swain Jr., William Ratcliffe and Kevin Richards will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Rubado, Leamon Mizell and Cleveland Mayo.
Mrs. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on August 11, 1936 to the late John and Rosa Wallace Roelofs. She attended Bath High School and was a homemaker. On May 8, 1971 she married Joyner D. Tetterton who preceded her in death on September 6, 2006. She was a member of Hunter’s Bridge Church of Christ, Ladies Aid, was a member of the church choir, served as secretary of the Pinetown Ruritan Club, was a volunteer for the Beaufort County Medical Center and was a Troop Leader in the Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her children, Alma Kay W. Mizell and husband Leamon of Washington, Linda Lee W. Rubado and husband Kelly of Selma, William Ack Woolard Jr. of Washington, Penny W. Ratcliffe and husband Billy of Pinetown, Cleveland Mayo of Pinetown, April T. Swain and husband James of Washington, step children, Tony Tetterton and wife Erin, Terry Tetterton and wife Tammy, J.D. Tetterton III, Toby Tetterton and wife Karen, Darlene Richards and husband Kevin; 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnna T. Mayo; son, John C. Woolard; step daughter, Vanessa D. Wagner, grandson, Joel Tetterton and grand-daughter, Tiffany Rubado.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Hunter’s Bridge Church of Christ and other times at the home.
