Mr. William Hardy Hardison Jr., 81, of 1760 Hollow Pond Road, Williamston, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hardison Cemetery.
Mr. Hardison was born in Martin County on May 3, 1928. He was the son of the late William Hardy Hardison and Eva Lee Hodges Hardison. On Aug. 29, 1952, he married Mildred Hardison, who survives. He was a farmer. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He was a dedicated husband, father, and farmer and, in later years, a gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred H. Hardison; two daughters, Josie Hardison and Mona Hardison of Farm Life; one sister, Evelyn Perry of Williamston.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Allie Roberson of Plymouth.
