Mrs. Charlotte Faye Boyd Edwards, age 71 a resident of Chocowinity, died Thursday, December 24, 2009.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, December 28, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and will be conducted by Rev. Henry Horne.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Beaufort County on July 16, 1938 to the late Noah Eleaster Boyd and Myrtle Ruth Carrow Boyd who survives. She married I.H. Edwards, Jr. who survives. She was retired from Stanadyne and had also worked for National Spinning. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, I.H. Edwards, Jr. of the home; two sons, Anthony Glenn Edwards of Chocowinity, Vernon Scott Edwards and wife Marion of Chocowinity; one brother, Jerry R. Boyd of Tampa, Florida; three sisters, Brenda Purser and husband Donald of Chocowinity, Barbara Pantaleo and husband James of Chocowinity, Patricia Boyd of Chocowinity; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by three brothers, Rondell Boyd, Ted Cleve Boyd and Roger Dale Boyd.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home.
