Mr. James Richard Hufton, 79, of Roper died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 at his daughter’s home in Columbia. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Scuppernong Church of Christ, Creswell with Cleve Edwards and Thomas Biggs officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
