A sign points the way to a few good reads Thursday before Friends of Brown Library’s annual book sale. The event begins today in the Washington Civic Center. The sale runs from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. for Friends of Brown Library members. It is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A books-by-the-bag special for last-minute bargain-seekers is set for noon until 3 p.m. Sunday. The sale, which offers about 25,000 books, raises money for Brown Library.
