Selma Paige Rawls, 79, of 1781 Flemming School Rd., Greenville, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Rawls was born in Martin County on July 1, 1930 to the late John Paige and Myrtle Clark Paige. She was a retired seamstress with June Day Manufacturing. Mrs. Rawls was preceded in death by her husband Claude T. Rawls in 1986, a son Tommy Rawls, two brothers, Herbert Paige and Frank Paige, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Bullock, Lela Carson and May Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Home of Williamston with Rev. Jim Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Franklin Paige, William Paige, Bobby Paige, Gerald Watkins, Richard Bateman, Jr. and Clyde Price.
Survivors include, Sons, Bobby Paige of Greenville, Alton Rawls of Washington and Johnny Rawls of Williamston; Daughter, Ruth Ann Bembridge of Ahoskie, and a Brother, Tub Paige of Williamston. Thirteen (13) Grandchildren and Twenty (20) Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston, Tuesday evening, Feb. 16, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and other times at 1781 Flemming School Rd., Greenville, NC.
