Mr. Herbert “Andy” Andrew Blake, Sr., age 70, a resident of 408 Alderson Road, Washington, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor W. Lee Kinney and Pastor Darryl C. Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
Mr. Blake was born in Anderson, SC on December 24, 1939 to Herbert and Mary Bramlette Blake. Andy graduated from Davidson College and worked for National Spinning for over 25 years. He was currently working with University Health Systems of Eastern North Carolina in Greenville, NC. On October 4, 1985 he married Vicky Brooks Blake who survives. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Washington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Herbert Andrew Blake, Jr. of Washington, Matthew Bramlette Blake and his wife Nobuko Igarashi of Memphis, TN and William Bryan Blake of Washington.
