Mrs. Mary Ann Logan Hudnell, age 86, a resident of 6135 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown and a former resident of 19 Pungo View Road, Belhaven died Wednesday March 17, 2010 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday March 20, 2010 at the Belhaven First Assembly of God officiated by Pastor Allen Harmon. Burial will follow in the Belhaven Community Cemetery. Randy Mizell, Anthony Mizell, Wilbur Logan, Norval Williams, Mike Harrison and Jeff Harrison will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Mizell, Glen Quidley, Leon Hudnell, Bud Modlin and Delbert Leffelman.
Mrs. Hudnell was born in Surry County, VA on April 27, 1923 daughter of the late Willie Webster Logan and the late Maude Isolene Stubbs Logan. She married Milburn Ray Hudnell, Sr. on October 17, 1951 who preceded her in death on June 27, 2005. Mrs. Hudnell was a homemaker and dedicated her time to her family and being her disabled husband’s caregiver for over thirty years. She was a member of Belhaven First Assembly of God.
Survivors include a son: Milburn Ray Hudnell, Jr. of Wilson; a daughter: Juanita H. Spencer of Pinetown; three sisters: Willie Virginia Edwards of Belhaven, Cora Elizabeth Harrison of Chesapeake, VA and Peggy Jean Mizell of Plymouth; three grandchildren: Robin Keech and Shannon Greene both of Pinetown and Nicole Johnson of Richmond Hill, GA and six great grandchildren: Shane Keech, Jade Keech, Matthew Greene, Kendal Bowen, Kayla Naranjo and Caroline Johnson. Mrs. Hudnell was preceded in death by a brother: William D. Logan and a sister Mildred Irene Sawyer.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday March 19, 2010 at Belhaven First Assembly of God and at other times at the home of Mrs. Hudnell’s daughter Juanita located at 6135 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown.
