Tyler Mann continued to sizzle at the plate, going 3-4 for the second straight night in a 12-2 win over Bethel.
Mann, hitting close to .600 on the year, also drove in three, scored twice and stole two bases in Tuesday’s win.
Mann also picked up the win on the hill. He scattered three hits over six innings while fanning 11 batters.
Zack Credle (2-4, 2 RBIs, 2 runs) and Joseph Braddy (2-4, RBI, run, SB) also had big days at the plate for the Raiders.
Pungo (7-5) plays host to Lawrence at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Knights win
The Terra Ceia Knights banged out 16 hits in a 17-2 win over Oakwood on Tuesday.
Paige Roberson (6-1) got the win. She allowed three hits, struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.
Several players came up big offensively for the Knights. Katie Jackson (3-3, 2 RBIs), Roberson (2-4, 3 RBIs), Chandler Furlough (2-2, 3 RBIs), Natalie Grissom (2-3, 2 RBIs), Lindsey Smith (2-4, RBI), Morgan Boyd (2-4), Hollie McDonald (1-3), Kennedy Dail (1-2, RBI) and Kristen Alons (1-2, RBI) all contributed to the win.
Terra Ceia (12-5, 6-4) plays host to Wayne Christian in a 4 p.m. game Thursday.
Vikings storm Redskins
The Plymouth offense exploded on Tuesday as the baseball team topped Roanoke 18-2 in five innings to up the Vikings’ record to 13-5 (6-3).
Mister David paced Plymouth with three hits, while Ronnell Blount was 2-4 with a triple and Kevin Baker was 2-4 with a double.
Brandon Gibson was the wining pitcher for Plymouth, who will be back in action on Friday when it hosts Southside.
Tigers top Bruins
Heath Rogerson struck out eight batters in seven innings to lead Williamston to a 7-4 win over Camden on Tuesday. Will Gurganus was 3-4 to lead the Tigers (13-5, 6-3), while Mathew Perry and Walt Ange each had two hits.
Williamston will be back in action on Friday when it travels to Perquimans.
