Olivia “Mae” Adams Hill

Olivia “Mae” Adams Hill, age 90, a resident of 3179 Highway 17 South, Chocowinity, where she lived with her daughter, Vickie Adams and granddaughter, Olivia Slade, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at her home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery with Pastor Jim Rawls officiating.
Mrs. Hill was born in Martin County on May 25, 1919 to James Henry Hodges and Olivia Mayo Hodges. She married Lonnie Wesley Adams who preceded her in death on December 21, 1963. She later married Edmund Harvey Hill who preceded her in death on July 3, 1999. Mae worked in the cafeteria at Chocowinity High School for 26 years. She was a member of West End Baptist Church in Washington and attended Haw Branch Church of Christ in Chocowinity until her health failed.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Bennett and husband Gene and Margaret Bennett and husband Ronald, both of Williamston, Jean Morris and husband Jimmie of Greenville and Rhonda Adams of Chocowinity, her sons, Lonnie Earl Adams and wife Laura and Bobby M. Adams and wife Diane, both of Chocowinity, and Billy Adams and wife Tiny of Ayden, her grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Ange, Debora A. Davenport, Pam B. Longnecker, Greg Bennett, Patrice Ambrose, Kent Bennett, Steve Adams, Johnny Martin, Gary W. Martin, Jimmie Morris, Jeremy Morris, Elizabeth Slade Hoagland, Nicole Johnson, Billy R. Adams, Jr., Amanda Gurkins, and Lori-Catherine Ball, 28 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a special grandchild, Megan Smith.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Ayers.
