Mr. Melton William Woolard, age 90, a resident of 5687 Hwy. 264 E. Washington, died Monday, May 10, 2010.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Steve Hill.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on October 1, 1919 and was married to Margaret Latham Woolard who survives. He was a barber at the Corner View Barbershop in Washington and was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Latham Woolard of the home; one son, Roger William Woolard of Washington; one daughter, Linda Woolard Byrd of Washington; three grandchildren, Charles H. Byrd, Jr. of Wilmington, Tiffany Lynne Woolard of Washington, Derek Cord Woolard of Washington and two great grandchildren, Hunter Chase Woolard and Tanner Charles Woolard.
