Mr. Sammy Lee DeMasse, 66, of 811 N.C. Highway 45 North and formerly of 3515 Shipwright St., Portsmouth, Va., died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Bertie Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Greco officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home.
