Mr. John Dowe “J.D.” Brown Jr., 65, of 1316 Fort Branch Road, Oak City, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, with the Rev. Clifford Dunning officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home, Williamston.
