Joseph Lee “Joe” Rowe, Sr., age 49, a resident of 1515 Sparrows Bay Road, Blounts Creek, NC died Sunday September 12, 2010.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday September 15, 2010 at the Esau Rowe Family Cemetery officiated by Pastor David Linton. Pallbearers will be Allen Martin, Steven Martin, Brandon Martin, Johnny Hooker, Travis Martin and Jamie McKibben.
Joe was born in Beaufort County on April 9, 1961 son of George Allen Rowe and Derita Bland Rowe Chauncey. He attended Aurora High School and married the former Mary Tiffiny Jackson who survives. He was a pipe fitter and welder with CMF of Aurora. Joe’s biggest love was his family, then he loved Hunting, Blounts Creek and the Pamlico River where he spent many hours fishing and crabbing.
Surviving along with Joseph’s wife Tiffiny of the home are two sons: Joseph Lee Rowe, Jr. of Roper and Jacob Lee Rowe of Ahoskie; a daughter: Tiffany Paige Rowe of the home; his father: George Allen Rowe of Blounts Creek; his mother: Derita Rowe Chauncey of Blounts Creek; a brother: Raymond Rowe of Blounts Creek and two sisters: Connie Martin and her husband Gary of Blounts Creek and Beulah Anderson and her husband Kenny of Dudley.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home of his mother located at 350 Sparrows Bay Road, Blounts Creek, NC.
Flowers are welcome or the family kindly asks that any memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
