Clifford Edwin Spencer, 58, of 35370 U.S. Highway 264, Engelhard, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven
Born in Beaufort County, July 18, 1952, he was the son of the late Walter Burl and Lessie Lee Gibbs Spencer. He was a member of Engelhard Christian Church and worked as a commercial fisherman and at the Washington Daily News.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the family plot in Fulford Cemetery. Scott Sukeforth will officiate.
Surviving are; three sons, Edwin Spencer of Swan Quarter, Ricky Spencer and wife, Amber of Battle Creek, Michigan and Elijah Spencer of Engelhard; two daughters, Keri Spencer of Swan Quarter and Elisha Shelton and husband, Kahler of Engelhard; and wife Pamela Spencer, a brother, Shirlen Spencer and wife, Betty of Engelhard.; eight grandchildren.
The family would be grateful for memorials to help with funeral expenses.
