Mrs. Bonnie Faye Snider Dunbar, age 59, a resident of 7989 NC Hwy 99 North, Pantego, NC, died Sunday October 3, 2010 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven, NC.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Union Grove Church of Christ officiated by Scott Askew. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour at the church.
Mrs. Dunbar was born on June 7, 1951 in Pitt County daughter of the late Grover Edward Snider and Willa Mae Gaylor Snider. She was a 1969 graduate of Jamesville High School. On June 14, 1969, she married Edward Timothy Dunbar, who survives. Mrs. Dunbar retired after 35 years of service with Tideland Electric Membership Corporation. Following her retirement, Mrs. Dunbar found much enjoyment working in real estate. Mrs. Dunbar was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dunbar is survived by two children Kimberly Dunbar Harris and her husband Jamie of Greenville, and a son, Edward Timothy Dunbar, Jr. and his wife Glee of Pantego, a sister; Yvonne Hamlow of Orange Park, Fla. and her furry four legged grandchildren: Oliver, Otis and Maggie.
The family wishes to express special thanks and appreciation to the staffs of the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, Pungo District Hospital and Community Home Care and Hospice.
