Mrs. Clydie Faye Wainwright Kinnion, age 77, a resident of 1452 Durham Creek Road, Blounts Creek, NC died Sunday October 31, 2010 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Edward Christian Church officiated by Pastor David Linton and Pastor Ray Webb. Burial will follow in Warren Memorial Cemetery. Brandon Richards, Frank Richards, Danny Taylor, Richard Donoflio, Dalton Bennett and Kyle Burgess will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Clydie Faye was born in Pitt County on July 6, 1933, daughter of the late Jesse Wainwright and the late Berdie Estelle Worthington Wainwright. She was a graduate of Aurora High School. Mrs. Clydie Faye married Willard Blonnie Kinnion who preceded her in death on February 12, 2009. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker to her church as a devoted member of Edward Christian Church and a valued member of her community.
Survivors include a son: Jesse H. Kinnion and his wife Carol of Blounts Creek; a sister: Mary Fleming of Blounts Creek; two grandsons: and granddaughters-in-law: Jason Donald Kinnion and Danielle of Charlotte and Kevin Michael Kinnion and Alicia Deans of Blounts Creek and a great-grandson: Kevin Michael Kinnion, Jr. of Blounts Creek. Mrs. Clydie Faye was preceded in death by three sisters: Sybil Banks, Estelle Banks and Dorothy Mae Wainwright and five brothers: Earl Wainwright, Clifton Wainwright, Jack Wainwright, Clarence Wainwright and Johnnie Wainwright.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church and at other times at the home of Mrs. Clydie Fayes son Jesse located at 7271 Core Point Road, Blounts Creek, NC.
