Mr. Gerald Elwood Sawyer, age 73, a resident of 1730 John Small Ave., Washington, died Thursday, November 11, 2010.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Pamlico Beach Community Cemetery at Ryder Hill and will be conducted by Medford Hopkins. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Sawyer was born in Beaufort County on February 27, 1937 to the late Ivey Franklin Sawyer and Lucy Robbins Sawyer.
Survivors include one sister, Frankie Jones of Washington; two nieces, Debbie Jones and husband Vann of Washington, Tammy Jones of Washington and one nephew, Billy Jones and wife Phyllis of Washington.
