Mr. Stewart Wayne Wells, 53, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., was born July 23, 1957, and passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. He was retired from Military, Air Force, DAV, Member of Shawanee Masonic Lodge, Instructor of Communications at Sigmon Communications; graduate and MA in Education at LMU. He was a member of Veteran Upward Bound at ETSU.
He is survived by his loving wife: Norma Wells of Cumberland Gap, Tenn; Step-Daughter, Liana (Mark) Miracle of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Mother-in-law, Ethel Sturgill of Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; Father, James Wells of Vanceboro; Sister, Debra Munday of Dry Prong, La.; Brothers, Charles Wells of Raleigh, Michael Wells of Vanceboro and Andy Wells of Raleigh; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Monday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel Minister Dr. Ray Penn. Singer, Amy Parker. Pallbearers are Linvil Day, Marc Hayes, Thomas Wells, bob Jackson, John Johnson and Mark Miracle.
Burial in the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, Tenn. at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.
Arrangements are by Coffey Funeral Home, Tazewell, Tenn.
