Hilda Sadler Watson

Born July 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Denard and Joella Sadler and sister to the late Elizabeth Potter of Reelsboro.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Roy Watson of Hobucken. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a niece, Betty Rogers (Ernest ‘deceased’) of Anderson, S.C.; two nephews, Benjamin Potter (Pat) and Denard Potter (Helen) of Reelsboro; and their families.

Mrs. Watson was a faithful member of the Lowland Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Hobucken High, and was active in community activities, projects, and clubs, including the Eastern Star. She showed interest in others and their welfare č ready if possible to attend someone’s shower, graduation, homecoming, or funeral. She partnered with Roy in their R.E. Mayo Seafood Co., and was his help-mate during his 27 years of blindness. She drove him everywhere he needed to go without complaining. Hilda was devoted to every member of Roy’s family, and treated each of their children as if they were her own.

Special thanks to Jolene Lupton a faithful caregiver for the last years of her life.
