Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.
I understand that they gave away the gazebo in the Aurora Fossil Park. I want to know if they are going to give away the benches and, if so, whom to call.
Several years ago, when I was in college, Bartow Houston wrote an article titled “My Hometown.” I used it in a speech class. Perhaps he would like to repeat that article. The first line went: “Sitting prettily on the banks of the Pamlico.” Many readers would enjoy reading it again.
When can we expect to see the rest of the Science Olympiad participants in the newspaper? I think all the schools except Chocowinity Middle School have been in there. Beaufort County had a fantastic showing at the Science Olympiad regionals last month, and I was just wondering when we could expect to see a picture of the CMS students in the paper.
Editor’s note: Information about the CMS Science Olympiad teams is scheduled to appear in the school-news section of Sunday’s Washington Daily News.
