Dr. and Mrs. Michael D. Massey of Anchorage, Alaska, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Molly Massey to Phillip VanderWeit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth VanderWeit of Belhaven, North Carolina.

The couple graduated from Terra Ceia Christian School in 2005.

The future bride graduated from Portland State University in December with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. The future groom graduated from East Carolina University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is serving as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Beaufort, North Carolina.
