To the Editor:

Many of us look forward, greatly anticipating the observance annually, to the National Day of Prayer, each first Thursday of May. This year is our 60th observance and the honorary chairman is Joni Ereckson Tada, who is such an inspiration for her trusting in the Lord in times of trouble, and leadership for those who put their trust in the Lord.

We can pray for her, too, as she prays to overcome cancer.

It’s never too soon to pray for special days and times and also to be thankful for our blessings. Psalm 103:1,2.
