On October 15, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny that occurred on Harbor Way, Washington. The report indicated multiple items, including a rifle, were stolen from a residence.

As the result of an investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore obtained warrants charging Justin Jones, 20, of Spain Drive, Washington, and Austin Asby, 20, of Ormond Avenue, Bath, each with one count of larceny of a firearm.

Jones was arrested April 9 and placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond. Asby remains at large.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Asby should call Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at 252-974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Callers do not have to give their names to receive rewards.
