Slatestone Studio adult pottery students have a showing of their ceramic work this month in the lobby of Brown Library in Washington.

These artists have created a wide range of pottery forms, from coil-formed sculptures to slab-built works and wheel-thrown vessels, reads a news release.

All of the artwork is original and one of a kind, using stoneware and glazes supplied by the studio.

Slatestone Studio, located at 2276 Slatestone Road, Washington, is a center for learning about clay in its many forms, under the leadership of Carolyn R. Sleeper, artist and teacher. Classes for adults are held throughout the year, except July and August, when clay camps for children are held.

For information, call Sleeper at 252-945-3541.

Brown Library is located at 122 Van Norden St.
